ST. BARTHÉLEMY, BAY OF GRAND CUL DE SAC – May 30, 2018 –  St. Barth’s first new hotel in a generation is new again.  Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa which originally debuted October 28, 2016 as this destination’s latest hotel, announces that following the June 1 opening of its adjoining two Villas, it will completely re-open with full spa, restaurant and hotel services beginning, again, October 28, 2018.

According to general manager Marc Dobbels, Le Barthélemy returns to St. Barths with the same “chic style, bespoke service and genuine island hospitality” that made its original debut so successful. “It is my delight to report that Le Barthélemy is set to return and is putting the finishing touches on a property that if possible, is even better than it was before,” said Dobbels.

Taking meticulous care to replicate the understated yet supremely luxurious interiors of the original St. Barth’s inspired design, Le Spa, the hotel’s haven of holistic healing, has been improved with the addition of hot and cold baths, sauna and soothing hammam, and a tea salon.  The soon-to-be-relaunched hotel is also amplifying the culinary experience, with the hotel’s main restaurant Aux Amis now expanding its service beyond the restaurant during lunch so that guests may “keep their toes in the sand” at Aux Amis Beach.  At dinner, Aux Amis will introduce a new concept that celebrates French fine dining in a casual, island-inspired setting with an expanded and extensive wine list, with a ‘by the glass’ selection, complementing a new menu featuring fresh and imaginative dishes such as Mahi-mahi with Dugléré sauce and crushed potatoes, and for dessert, Caribbean Chocolate Soufflé.

With so many of Le Barthélemy’s guests seeking respite to focus on health, wellness and deep relaxation, Le Barthélemy debuts advancements to its holistic spa. Introducing hydrotherapy – a therapeutic detox in hot and cold baths, a traditional Hamman, peaceful beach yoga and an advanced fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment. Other new offerings for guests who love to socialize and embrace active lifestyle, include the creation of a late night rooftop bar featuring a DJ or live music Friday and Saturday nights, a beach grill for all day light fare, and exciting water sports, such as swimming with the turtles in the nature’s reserve, and boat outings – setting sail right in front of the hotel.

All rooms at Le Barthélemy create a peaceful and private escape for guests, evoking relaxation – from the new comprehensive pillow menu for a customized good nights’ rest, the new signature scent that envelopes guests throughout the open-air property, to the innovative lighting system with four distinct settings to set the mood. The hotel also thoughtfully reimagined select adjoining rooms to accommodate larger families and groups of friends. These spacious rooms can be transformed into a one, two or three-bedroom Suite.

For those visiting the island before the anticipated October 28 reopening date, guests are invited to experience The Villas at Le Barthélemy beginning June 1, offering the comfort, privacy and the delight of home in the magical setting that is St. Barths. Located steps to the beach and adjacent to the hotel, two stunning 6-bedroom villas provide a warm welcome with spacious living areas, gourmet kitchen and lap pool.  Best of all, from daily breakfast to turn down, guests of these villas have access to the unparalleled services of Le Barthélemy.
