Sadly, summer is over. School has started, pumpkin is flavoring all of our favorite foods and football is on every television. Fortunately, summer never ends in the Caribbean!

Island weather, from late September until mid-December, is at its most pleasant and travel costs are at their lowest. This is the ideal time to escape to the turquoise blue waters of your favorite Caribbean island. Here are a few Caribbean adventures you can escape to this fall.

Pirate Week, The Cayman Islands

Enjoy a fun filled eleven days with music, street dances, competitions, games, wonderful local food and drink, kids day, a glittering parade, sports events for everyone and, oh yes, pirates! Pirate Week starts with a fantastic steel pan competition and spectacular fireworks. On Saturday enjoy a mock ‘pirate invasion’ from the sea.  Two old-time sailing vessels, loaded with pirates make a Saturday surprise landing at the bowl-shaped George Town harbor with the pirates capturing the Governor. Thousands of people line the streets to watch the spectacle and it is all good-natured fun with a new twist every year.

Aruba Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival

The sixth edition of the intimate Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival on Aruba is around the corner. With a terrific line-up of local and international bands and artists to entertain you. Well-known names, upcoming stars, and budding talent will vie for your attention on the various stages. And of course there will be dance, poetry and art mixed into the whirlwind of music that hits Aruba.
