Palm Beach, Aruba  – Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & Casino, a luxurious resort located on 12 acres of magnificent beachfront property on Aruba’s world-renowned Palm Beach, is excited to announce a top-to-bottom enhancement of its 357 guest rooms and suites as well as its Regency Club.

“Hyatt Regency Aruba consistently raises the bar when it comes to service, experience and amenities in Aruba,” said Carlos Cabrera, General Manager and Area Vice President of Hyatt Regency Aruba. “Our new room product is incomparable to any other resort on the island and will be a welcome enhancement to our valued guests.”

Spearheaded by Kansas City-based BLUR Workshop Designs, the $21 million redesign introduces chic, modern accommodations while still paying homage to the island’s Dutch Colonial architecture and colorful Caribbean accents.

“Looking out through the layers of waterfalls, swaying palm trees and onto the brilliant blue ocean outside of Hyatt RegencyAruba’s property, there is no question that you are at a stunning tropical resort and a sense of calm relaxation takes over,” said Kelly O”Donnell, Designer at BLUR Designs. “We wanted to recreate that same experience as guests travel up to their rooms and open the door.  Upon entry, the guests will have that same sense of excitement, relaxation and a sense of place that is distinctly Aruba.”

The newly conceptualized guest rooms are bright and airy with white oak furnishings and plenty of natural light. Thoughtfully designed, the rooms conjure the feeling of being at your own personal beach home. Inviting touches include a hand-woven, chevron wool rug, plush pillows and bedding, a classic yet contemporary tufted headboard and a large, oversized chaise lounge. Rooms also feature a 65” TV, glass faced-fridge, coffee station, numerous outlets and motion sensor lighting.

Subtle tropical cues are evident throughout the space. Custom-made drapery features an ombre pattern of fading blues, from sheer to saturated, that beautifully mimics the effect of water to evoke Aruba’s famed turquoise ocean. Pops of color enrich the space amidst the backdrop of a neutral color palette to create a calming aesthetic. Distressed wooden planks painted blue, pink and green are artfully displayed upon the room’s wall to emulate the shiplap of the island’s local fishing boats.

Guestroom baths have also been completely reimagined. The enlarged bathrooms feature expansive quartz-stone countertops, white oak vanities and brushed nickel fixtures and accessories by Kohler. Above the vanity, tech-forward mirrors were installed that are backlit and feature the time on an integrated, digital clock.

Beyond the guest rooms, the resort has also welcomed a new Regency Club Lounge moved from the resort’s top floor to the ground level for easy access from the pool, beach and casino. Exclusively available to guests of the ninth floor Club Level, the Regency Club Lounge hosts complimentary continental breakfast, evening cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and more personalized concierge services.
