Hamilton Princess & Beach Club Announces
the June Opening of the “Prince & Princess Kid’s Club”
The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, affectionately known in Bermuda as “The Pink Palace,” announces the opening of the Prince & Princess Kid’s Club on June 18, 2018. Based in the new fun-filled “Kid’s Cottage,” children will partake in fully-supervised activities with professional camp staff. Designed for children ages four through ten, the new club will feature programming built around daily themes, experiential education, and Bermudian culture. Activities will focus on teamwork and will be adapted for various age groups.
Themes include:
• “Bermudian Party Day” – Learn about Bermuda’s sailing culture, partake in traditional dance called the Gombey, and play a game of cricket – a popular sport on island.
• “Artiste Day” – As a nod to the hotel’s extensive collection of works by the likes of Warhol and Banksy, children will go on an art tour and participate in a free-for-all creation party inspired by their favorite works. Sandcastle design workshops will also be offered, where children will learn how to build beautifully sculpted castles at Hamilton Princess’ private Beach Club.
• “Here Be Pirates!”- Decorate pirate flags with your “crew,” participate in a property-wide treasure hunt, join a game of cannonball toss, and partake in other themed challenges at the beach.
• “Castaway Day” – Collaborate in a shelter building competition, learn to signal a boat or plane for rescue, and build a solar still, which purifies water without electricity.
Other themes will range from sustainability and international culture, to science and team challenges. Swimming, cooking classes, and off-property excursions are also on the agenda.
Offered Monday through Saturday, a half-day session is from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM or 1:30-5:00 PM and costs $80 per child. Parents can also opt for a full-day program for $120 that combines both sessions with a break for a family lunch.
Less than a two-hour flight from New York, Bermuda is an idyllic summer escape with its pink sand beaches and pastel-hued architecture. At Hamilton Princess, families will enjoy suite and multi-bedroom accommodations, the private Beach Club, and its proximity to town for afternoon ice cream at Meltdown.

About Hamilton Princess & Beach Club
Hamilton Princess & Beach Club opened its doors on January 1, 1885. Bermuda had gained international recognition two years earlier when Princess Louise, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria, visited for a winter retreat and called it “”a place of eternal spring.”” When the hotel opened, it was named “”The Princess”” in honor of the royal visit. More than a century later, a comprehensive restoration program has ensured that the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club remains a Grande Dame among hotels. It is the oldest member of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts family. Juxtaposed against the classic pink exterior is a contemporary lobby with museum-quality art by noted artists. A restaurant called Marcus’ features the cuisine of celebrity chef, Marcus Samuelsson. The 1609 Bar & Restaurant and the informal Crown & Anchor round out the culinary offerings, and there is a popular Exhale Spa. A convenient jitney shuttles guests to the nearby Beach Club where a private strand and water sports are a welcome escape for guests. The shops of the town of Hamilton are also nearby.
