The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is pleased to announce that Belize has achieved the Safe Travels Stamp, granted by the World Travel &Tourism Council (WTTC). During a time when traveling safely is of optimum priority, the WTTC Safe Travels stamp will further aid in boosting traveler confidence.  The Safe Travels Stamp, the first global safety and hygiene stamp was awarded to Belize in recognition of the country’s enhanced health and safety protocols. This stamp allows travelers to identify destinations and entities that have adopted global standardized health and hygiene protocols. With a promising new year for travel, it’s common for many wander lusters to carefully review where their 2021 travels will take them. To boost traveler confidence, the World Travel & Tourism Council has implemented a “Safe Travels” Stamp for governments and companies around the world that offer travel services

Belize’s Tourism Gold Standard certification program for hotels, restaurants, tour operators, and attractions and our comprehensive Health & Safety guidelines underscores that our highest priority is the health and safety of our guests. Belize has been awarded this honor, thanks to the rigorous safety procedures the country has implemented as part of its Phased Reopening Plan and introduction of its Gold Standard Recognition Program

Belize is easily accessible via its 3-step entry process: (1) download the Belize Health App, (2) select a Gold Standard Accommodation, (3) bring along a negative 96-hour PCR test or 48-hour Rapid Antigen test. Ease of entry, along with the enhanced health and safety protocols has allowed Belize to continue making headlines for its efforts to protect not only citizens, but also our visitors. “Belize is delighted to have received the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Stamp of Approval,” says Belize’s Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Hon. Anthony Mahler, “The WTTC’s Stamp of Approval is a milestone achievement for Belize and is truly a strong testament of Belize’s unwavering commitment to an environment which is safe, secure and provides an authentic and meaningful experience to our visitors!”
