Park Hyatt St. Kitts Welcomes   Lucas Curcio Perez as the New  Executive Chef

ST. KITTS – Feb. 2022   Reaching new culinary heights, Park Hyatt St. Kitts announces the appointment of Lucas Curcio Perez as Executive Chef. A seasoned culinarian, Perez will oversee the resort’s three signature restaurants – The Great House, The Fisherman’s Village, and The Stone Barn, while unveiling a fresh culinary program that immerses guests in the island’s rich heritage.  Perez brings more than 16 years of global experience to Park Hyatt St. Kitts, having worked in a wide range of award-winning kitchens from Jakarta to Buenos Aires. Most recently, he spent three years as the Executive Chef at Park Hyatt Jakarta where he led the launch of the hotel’s food & beverage programming. Prior to that, Perez led 20 restaurants as Executive Chef at Grup Boira Restaurant & Bars in Girona, Spain. Additional career highlights include being named Restaurant Chef at Four Seasons Resort Carmelo and Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota. Perez graduated from the Instituto Gastronómico del Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005.  “Chef Perez has made a name for himself in luxury kitchens across the globe,” said Marc Schneider, General Manager of Park Hyatt St. Kitts. “His commitment to local and sustainable food sourcing, paired with his forward-thinking and innovative approach will suit him well as he establishes a new vision for our culinary program. In his new role, Perez will oversee operations at the property’s distinct dining outlets – The Great House, an all-day dining venue offering market-to-table fare with a Caribbean flair; The Fisherman’s Village, an open-air bungalow serving island-inspired delicacies and locally-caught seafood; and The Stone Barn, the resort’s adult’s only fine dining establishment presenting multi-course tasting menus and an expansive wine list.   Perez will additionally develop engaging guest experiences for the resort’s existing Destination Dining program, which draws on the fresh flavors and rich traditions rooted in Kittitian cuisine.

The Destination Dining program includes:

  • Rampart Waterfall Dining: Couples looking for a romantic evening can enjoy a specially prepared meal from their own private pavilion set alongside the Rampart Pool’s waterfall.
