LE BARTHÉLEMY HOTEL & SPA CELEBRATES ITS OCTOBER 28 RETURN
~ After Devastating Irma, St. Barth’s Newest Luxury Hotel Ready for Winter Season with Emphasis on Wellness, Offers Special Gourmet Festival Package~
September 20, 2018 – Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa, closed since Hurricane Irma one year ago, will reopen October 28 for the winter season, exactly two years to the date of its original debut on October 28, 2016. According to general manager Marc Dobbels, the opening marks a triumphant return that includes all elements of the property including 44 rooms and suites, two new luxury oceanfront villas, Aux Amis restaurants and full-service spa, in concert with international skincare expert, Le Mer.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome guests back to Le Barthélemy and to work with our travel advisor partners in sharing details of the work we’ve done to not only resurrect but even improve this very special property,” said Dobbels.
While taking meticulous care to replicate the understated yet supremely luxurious aesthetic of the original St. Barth’s inspired design, the new Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa says Dobbels, “will incorporate peaceful design throughout the guest experience, putting an emphasis on wellness and well-being, the essential luxury.”
Le Spa, in partnership with international skincare experts, Le Mer, is the hotel’s center for holistic well-being and has been improved with the addition of hydrotherapy – a therapeutic detox in hot and cold baths, sauna, soothing hammam, and signature tea salon. Beyond the spa, guests of Le Barthélemy may continue their pursuit of wellness with beach yoga, an advanced fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, healthy dining options including fresh juice bar under the direction of executive chef William Girard and an array of beach and watersport activities.
Other new offerings include the creation of the WTF Rooftop Bar- that stands for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – a late night rooftop bar featuring a DJ or live music Friday and Saturday nights, Aux Amis Plage a beach grill for all day light fare, and an enticing coffee corner whose aroma, says Dobbels, “lifts the senses.”
To celebrate its official return, Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa will join the St. Barth hospitality community in the destination’s annual Gourmet Festival taking place November 1-4. In addition to culinary events being held island-wide, guests of the hotel that weekend will experience a one-time-only inventive tasting menu from two-star Michelin French Chef Nicolas Sale of Ritz Paris, who will cook alongside Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa’s esteemed executive chef, William Girard. When booked by November 3, guests also receive 20% off best available rate for a minimum 3-night stay that includes guaranteed room upgrade, daily complimentary breakfast at Aux Amis, private airport transfers and unlimited access to Le Spa’s Hamman, sauna, hydrotherapy pools & fitness studio.
