While travel to the island of St. Lucia is currently on pause, the renowned Jade Mountain resort is helping consumers around the globe virtually escape to the island right from the comforts of home.
Anyone in need of a tropical getaway can visit the resort’s new virtual traveler website, which includes a live property webcam, downloadable Zoom backgrounds of the majestic Pitons and Caribbean Sea, and virtual tours ranging from yoga inside one of the resort’s famous guest ‘sanctuaries,’ to local chef recipes, organic farm tours, biking through lush jungle trails, and an underwater dive where viewers can explore St. Lucia’s stunning coral reefs right from their couch. In addition, the resort’s James Beard Award-Winning Chef Allen Susser is hosting a serious of summer-inspired cooking tutorials on the property’s Instagram TV. Author of the Green Fig and Lionfish cookbook, which recently earned several 2020 Gourmand Awards, including Best Caribbean Cuisine and Best Sustainable Cuisine, has also created a GoFundMe where contributions are being distributed among resort team members and their families.
