Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands: Nov. 2023: For the past 14 years, The Palms Turks & Caicos, in Providenciales has hosted “In the Pink,” a powerful movement that combines philanthropy, unity, and entertainment. This year, the annual fundraiser raised an impressive $75,000 for the Turks and Caicos National Cancer Society. Every year the event has a theme, and this year’s “Barbie” was a fitting way to celebrate all things pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. The courtyard was transformed into a glamorous Barbie oasis, where hundreds of guests danced the night away in solidarity for the cause. Live music by Prime DJs, delectable pink-themed cuisine by Parallel23, and enchanting decor created an immersive experience – from exclusive shopping to a Pink Poker Tournament that celebrated life, unity, and resilience.
The festivities got underway with an exclusive shopping experience, allowing attendees to explore donated fashion items and one-of-a-kind accessories, with 100% of each sale directly benefiting the Turks and Caicos National Cancer Society. As the shopping extravaganza rocked, The Palms Ballroom featured the popular Pink Poker Tournament sponsored by Casablanca Casino. Karen S. Whitt, longtime Turks & Caicos resident, and VP with the Hartling Group of Resorts and Hotels, was the host and planner, as she is every year.
