PUERTO RICO DROPS COVID-RELATED ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. TRAVELERS
Puerto Rico, March 2022: Effective now, domestic U.S. travelers are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 results. International travelers are still subject to the U.S. entry requirements as mandated by the Federal Government. Mask requirements will be removed for both indoor and outdoor establishments. However, masks will still be recommended for situations where vaccination status cannot be guaranteed.
Capacity limits for both private and public establishments, such as restaurants, bars, theaters, and event venues, will no longer be in place. Patrons of private and public establishments will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result upon arrival. This includes lodging establishments as well. Individual businesses still reserve the right to establish their own health and safety guidelines and operations.
A full overview of the revised measures and arrival requirements is available in Discover Puerto Rico’s travel guidelines. Please let me know if you have questions regarding these measures, or activities to enjoy on the Island. Travelers will also still need to wear a mask on the plane ride to Puerto Rico because the U.S. federal mask mandate is in effect until at least March 18. Travelers will no longer need to fill out a travel declaration form – which included information on their vaccination status or coronavirus test results – before exiting the airport in Puerto Rico. Airports will continue to offer centers for voluntary coronavirus testing. For more information about traveling to Puerto Rico, visit www.discoverpuertorico.com/
